The IRS does allow taxpayers to enter into payment plans. You will be required to pay interest when you enter into a payment plan, but it gives you some additional time to pay off that amount. Make sure you communicate with the IRS by April 15. You can also request an extension on your taxes if you need more time to file your return.
In the future, you may want to amend the withholdings allowance in your W-4 form to adjust how much of your income is withheld from each paycheck so you don't owe as much money to the IRS at the end of the year. You can speak with your employer's HR department to make this adjustment.
